Why mobility matters after 40
Stiffness is common. Ignoring it does not have to be.
Years of sitting, repetitive work, old injuries, stress and reduced activity can gradually make everyday movement feel harder. Mobility training combines controlled movement, joint awareness, strength and usable range of motion so your body can handle real life more comfortably. The aim is not extreme flexibility; it is better access to the positions you need for walking, lifting, reaching, turning and getting up and down.
The goal is not to become a gymnast. It is to reach overhead with confidence, turn to look behind you, get down to the floor, walk freely, train safely and wake up feeling less restricted. Consistent, low-intensity practice usually matters more than forcing a difficult stretch once a week.
