Why this routine matters
Use before upper-body training or after long periods at a desk. Shoulder symptoms can have many causes, so persistent pain or weakness should be assessed appropriately.

Move the shoulders slowly up, back, down and forward without bending the elbows.
Slide the forearms upward while keeping the ribs from flaring. Stop before discomfort or pinching.
Rotate through the upper back while keeping the knees stacked.
Place the hands on a wall and gently send the hips backward while lengthening through the arms.
Keep the elbows near the body and rotate the forearms outward with no weight or very light resistance.
Reduce the range and perform wall-supported movements only.
Add light resistance-band work while keeping the same control.
These routines are general educational guidance. Stop if a movement causes sharp, worsening, radiating or unexplained pain, and seek appropriate professional advice when needed.
